Webinar: Subtle Harmful Team Behaviors in Change Efforts: Is It You or Is It Me?

Pharmacy educators nationwide have recently been embroiled in change efforts. Significant curricular changes, increasing and changing assessment demands, and experiential education challenges are only a few examples of change efforts faced by faculty. We often emphasize "team ready" students focusing on self-awareness, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities in our curricula, but how often in these change efforts or the inherent teamwork of academia itself do faculty members see the application of these traits to ourselves? Crew Resource Management (CRM) in aviation is often used in the training of our students to emphasize the criticality of teamwork. Literature reviews demonstrate application of CRM in not only healthcare safety, but also business teams. This webinar seeks to demonstrate the potential application of CRM concepts to improve communications and efficiency among academic teams including committees, task forces, teaching teams, scholarship communities, etc.
