Community-Based Pharmacy Practice, like other areas of health care, is responding to emerging needs to ensure its current and future role in inpatient care. The Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network (CPESN), an integrated pharmacy network, is responding to the needs of patients, pharmacists and payors. CPESN has stimulated the formation of the ACT Pharmacy Collaborative (an initiative to bring pharmacy academia and community pharmacy to learn and act with one another) and Flip the Pharmacy (a transformation process utilizing local support and data-driven milestones using SMART methodologies across six separate domains to improve patient care).
