Teaching Medical Cannabis in Pharmacy Curricula


The goal of this program is to discuss how the following content has been incorporated into the pharmacy curriculum at several different schools of pharmacy. This webinar will be focused on describing how both medical and recreational use of cannabis has increased. It will provide information on the medicinal chemistry, pharmacological, and therapeutic application of cannabis for many indications.

Objectives

  • Describe how medical cannabis has become a therapeutic alternative for many conditions/diseases.
  • Explain the science (e.g. medical chemistry, pharmacology, therapeutics) associated with medical cannabis.
  • Discuss examples of how the topic of medical cannabis can be integrated in pharmacy curricula.
